In 1994, during my service in the Army, I embarked on a journey of unconventional training, focusing primarily on enhancing shoulder mobility. This approach was a known trade from the Army, blending traditional physical training methods with specialized techniques to improve joint flexibility and strength. More than two decades later, in 2022, I revisited this unique training modality. The impetus for this resurgence was a persistent martial arts shoulder injury, lingering for over ten years, which conventional methods had failed to ameliorate. I believed that the principles and practices from my army days merged with new unconventional training methodologies, with their emphasis on mobility and adaptability, could offer a novel solution to everyone's longstanding physical challenge.
